Range building exercises and practice techniques for trumpet players.
Developing the upper register takes time, practice and patience. The techniques below are designed for maximum efficiency and have significant results. When the body and brain are presented with a new technique, the body and brain will naturally adapt to the task it's asked to achieve. The brain's natural ability to learn new skills is part of the survival mechanism that we as humans are born with. This skill is referred to mastery of skills and sometimes referred to as task mastery. When trumpet players or any musician practices a set of skills over and over again, the brain tell the body how to adapt in order to master the skill. New neural connections are made in the brain and down the spinal column to the associated muscles. The brain is constantly creating these new pathways and we usually notice a difference about every 30 days or so.
